Photo Editing Exercises

Ex.7

In these exercises, we edited photos using filters, the clone tool, the patch tool, selection tools, dodge and burn tools, and adjustment layers to correct colors, remove scratches and other glitches in the photos, and create better lighting and contrast. Most of the photos needed some sort of color correction. In fact, kumquats were an entirely different color before I edited them. To do this, I selected them using the polygonal selection tool, and then used a hue/saturation adjustment layer to change their color. For many of the other photos, I would adjust the contrast using an adjustment layer like curves or levels, and then added small brightness and contrast adjustments using the dodge and burn tool.
